From our Exclusive Pasadena Cat's Meow series. The Bodkin Point Lighthouse, no longer in existence, was built in 1819 as Maryland’s first lighthouse. The light was abandoned in 1858 and toppled over during an October storm in 1914. In the 1930s a sandbar from Bodkin Point to the island was walkable but the remains of the lighthouse were already under water.
